Xmas cookies

This year, we have baked lots of cookies and Lukas helped to eat them all. We love especially the raspberry thumbprint cookies, yummy. What is it about Xmas and cookies, I wonder?

Lesson learned

Today, Lukas, Matilda and I we went to a local fire station to donate a toy and food. I hope that it will teach Lukas that it's good to share and give. I was explaining for few days already that it is important to share with kids who don't have as much as we have.

He literally learned the lesson on the spot because after we handed over the gifts, he received a firefighter hat. :) Proudly he was telling Patrick later that he gave a toy to a boy who doesn't have anything.

Watching the clouds

While driving in the car, Lukas and I talk about what we see outside the windows. Today, after the rain stopped and the sun came out and the big white clouds were moving slowly, he said "Look Mommy, the clouds look like a space ship." "This one is so long, like a huge space ship." I said "Where is it going" and he said "To space. And I am Captain Rex and I can fight with both hands." Great observation he has and a big imagination too. I love him so much.

She is taking more and more steps on her own but today she even made it around the corner. My sweet pea!

Lukas and his musings about Santa

Of course, Lukas is waiting for Santa. This morning - while eating his breakfast - he said "I like Santa". I said "That's great, Santa is nice". He says "Actually I love Santa. I will hug Santa. But I will not kiss Santa. He has bad breath"... WHAT? Where does this come from??! :)
